The Hermon Slade Foundation
Established in October 1995 by the generous benefaction of Mr. George Hermon Slade AM. Its primary object is to “…advance and enhance the progress and harmony of mankind with Earth through the study and application of Natural Sciences”.

Swiss Orchid Foundation at the Herbarium Jany Renz
Following the death of Dr.Jany Renz in 1999, the University of Basel received his herbarium and library by legacy. The Swiss Orchid Foundation was established on October 3th, 2001 to maintain this cultural and scientific heritage. The BibliOrchidae of Rudolf Jenny has also been integrated onto this web site.
